Universal Cooker Hood Filter Kit - Cut To Size Stock Number: ES131936
High quality cut to size anti-odour carbon & paper grease filter compatible with most brands and models of cooker hoods
I have a Hotpoint HTN40 Cooker hood
- you dont need carbon with a cooker hood that extracts to the outside. You only need a carbon when you have a recirculating cooker hood. e.g. do you have a grill on the outside of the kitchen wall for the fan?
- Yes I always put both filters in together. When you have a fry up for the family check the filters - these are cheap enough to change before they get too blocked.
- I would say yes, our cooker hood came with both installed.

The charcoal filter is not recommended to be washed but replaced when saturated.
My cooker hood is not ducted to outside, is this filter all I need or do I need the round type of carbon filter aswell? 1 Answer

If your cooker hood is recirculating back into the room you do need a carbon filter.
I purchased a universal cooker hood filter in foam and charcoal. However on removing the old filter there was also a paper filter. I've now sent for the paper one as well. Is this ok to use all three? Ie. Paper first then foam and finally carbon. Thanks.

The paper filters are designed for grease and the foam filter is for absorbing the smells, you would not normally use all 3 so check your user guide for your model to be sure as it depends on whether the hood is venting outside or recirculating.
I have a Hotpoint Cooker Hood; Model No. HTC6T. Can I use foam grease filters with a charcoal filter, or does it need to be a paper grease filter. I think I need it for recirculating air. 1 Answer

The paper filters are designed for grease and the foam filter is for absorbing the smells. Not using the grease filter would quickly saturate the foam filter and reduce its efficiency at removing odours from the air.
Silly question-I'm sure !!! Does the whole filter turn red when change needed as has red stripes across already???!! 1 Answer

We think the stripes go inside and show through when replacement is required.
My Neff hood has a metal filter, when cooking grease goes through the filter and into the motor from there it drips back down onto the rear face of the filter. Would this additional filter cure the problem? 1 Answer

If your hood is recycling the air instead of venting outside then it should have carbon filters attached to the motor. It would be more effective to replace these than trying to fit this filter as your appliance is not likely to be designed for this.
Can these filters be cut to size and used in my Kitchen Wall Extractor Fan (Xpelair)Do you stock these filters separately. 1 Answer

These filters can be cut to size and used in many extractors.
Are there supposed to be clips or do they simply sit on the 2 Frames.

Chris at eSpares says...
This type of filter is used in cooker hoods as shown in the How to Video. If your hood uses a metal panel grease filter this product is not suitable.
fitting new gease filter to cooker hood, this has red stripes, do they face down or upwards. thankyou 1 Answer

It does not matter but if you can see from under the hood it is easier to know when you should change it.
