Before getting to deep check the main element has not blown causing the 'power cut'. For information on your repair see our video: How to diagnose problems with your oven http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/2145
The cooker is a Whirlpool AKP203/WH fitted with this Temp Limiter. When set the cooker heats up but once at temperature, it blows the house fuse and switches off. Is the Temp Limiter at fault.? 1 Answer

The fault is likely to be due to the element but may not be able to prove without replacement.
Whirlpool AKP/01/1X (8577206115510). The temperature is far to high, red light says not yet reached temperature setting. Is it the thermostat that’s gone? If so is it the same as the one for the AKP206/IX (857720615501) as I cannot find our model. 1 Answer

my oven keeps tripping the rcd.so I fiited a new oven element still takeing the rcd out.after 10 mins the grill is also tripping the rcd.the oven fan is ok ran that for 20 mins all ok.do you think it is the thermostat or the temperature limiter. ta

Chris at eSpares says...
The problem is most likely to be one of the heating elements that is breaking down when hot. I would replace the fan element first, The grille second and the lower element (if fitted) last.
My oven stays on for about 10 mins then cuts out but resets it's self after about 5mins do you think it is the temp limiter? 1 Answer

Chris at eSpares says...
Yes, if the cooling fan is faulty or it has poor air circulation outside the oven. Or A faulty thermostat causing excessive heat this will occur. if everything else is ok replace this part.
If my whirlpool cooker AKP206/IX rises to 300 deg do you think that the thermostat has failedit rises to that temp with out turning the control knob 1 Answer

It sounds like the main thermostat has gone short and is not turning off and regulating the temperature.
Will this part fit my appliance?
