It is easier to read a digital mulimeter but they both can be generally used on the same types of repairs.
What are the units dimensions - size. (mm) What is the screen size - (mm) Are the probes silicon rubber and replaceable from e-spares. Will the unit survive a minor drop test? How long is the unit guaranteed for?

Yes continuity can be measured on the ohms range. There is no case with this meter.
