Tumble Dryer Timer Stock Number: ES658691
Genuine spare part suitable for select models of Indesit, Hotpoint and Ariston tumble dryers
My dryer dial works but the heater elements don't heat up. They have been tested on a meter and continuenty is there. There is no live going to it and they advise it is the switch that will be the cause. If this correct before I order? 1 Answer

We would suggest not to test live as this is highly dangerous, you would need to test the rest of the dryer circuit to determine which components have failed.

We believe it is likely to be the timer and you need to check the heater, see our video for help www.youtube.com/watch?v=trJXdqNBn7M just copy and paste into your browser.

Unfortunately, we do not have access to the wiring diagrams.
I turn the timer, press the on button , all works fine, when its time for drum to stop and go in reverse direction, drum doesn't move and there is the smell of overheating (naturally as motor thus fan not turning to blow air over heating element). the reverse action of motor, is it controlled by the timer? Thank you,.

The reversing of the motor is controlled by the timer.
Can you tell me which of the contacts I would connect the incoming mains supply to and which are for the timed outgoing feed to the airer. I have the contact numbers available. Regards, Peter Berry

We have no information on this but would think Stock Number: ES1746871 would be a better alternative for this purpose.
I have an Indesit IS60V. The door does not lock when the time switch is turned. I replaced the door lock mechanism without the problem resolving. Will a new tumble drier timer resolve this issue?

My drier turn off sooner than expected, set timer for 30mins and shuts down after say 15mins with the control knob back to zero. 1 Answer
Is this trouble with the timer?

Chris at eSpares says...
You have not given the model number of your drier but if it uses this type of timer which has a simple motor and the knob advances to quickly it can only be a faulty timer.
