In the manual for the Kenwood CK740 it states the bottom element is 2050W but this spare is rated 1600W is it still the correct one to use?

Answer this Question (3 Answers)

  • Thanks for the response Citizen 38 but unfortunately that link you give is for the wrong model and the manual I have in front of me for the CK740 states 2050W for the bottom element. By Anonymous - - 11 April 2014
  • According to handbook – Bottom element – 1.4kw http://www.argosspares.co.uk/images/mediator/90/ck410.pdf By Citizen 38 - Bristol - 08 February 2014

In most instruction books it will have a paragraph stating 'specifications subject to change' as this is not unusual. The lower element may be some 20 percent different to your figure but it is likely to be able to reach the correct temperature required. If there is a difference in power the distribution of heat may change and the lower to upper variation of temperatures may increase. I certainly would use this if no other could be identified.
