Is it a straightforward task to fit the wiring from the switch to this bulb holder?

The wires connect into the lamp socket by either simply pushing in and locking or unscrew as in a normal 13A plug. If there are no screws and you are having difficulty removing the old wires carefully cut at the holder and re strip the end by 5 to 10 mm before pushing into the new holder.
