It is likely replacing the dispenser will resolve your problem.
My current soap dispenser is not opening during the cycle, would that problem be solved by purchasing this new one? 1 Answer

There is a solenoid on the back of the dispenser that releases the door. If you start a normal main wash cycle (not pre wash) and listed carefully you may hear a slight buzz for five seconds between one and ten minutes into the cycle. If this occurs then the dispenser is being told to open but in not working.
Your helpful replacement dispenser video says parts within the dispenser (such as spring) are also available, yet I can't find them on the website. Can you please direct? Also we think our problem is only the spring, as our dispenser looks fine, but it is getting stuck in the closed position during operation. Can you please advise how to find the fault? Thanks!
