Individual filters can vary in design. If you cannot part the case at a joint then you may have to break it apart. We would suggest you try this before ordering the granules and order a filter if this is not successful.

These 'chips' could be used to replenish the content of the carbon filters Stock Number: ES1407997 if you can open and remove the original content.
i have just moved into a flat with a Baumatic STD6ss hood. it has a duct to the outside of the building. It has a metal mesh covering with round holes in it and it appears to have no grease filters and just has a black round thing 1 Answer

If the 'black round thing' you refer to is Stock Number: ES1254389 then this is a carbon filter and is only required if the air is not being ducted out of the kitchen. This can simply be removed. Any metal grill can be cleaned using a degreasing agent.
Hi, I just moved into my new place which has the KAP600X hood. I managed to remove the grease filters, but I can't find the charcoal filter to replace. Is it possible that there is no charcoal filter? Also will it be possible to add on a charcoal filter.

There is a filter option for this model if recirculating the air, do not use a filter if extracting as it reduces the efficiency of the unit.
Would 1pack 480g fill the filter. thanks

To use this product on the carbon filter Stock Number: ES1087149 it would be necessary to split or open this and remove the carbon granules before refilling and resealing the container.
I have two round, closed carbon filters in an Electrolux extractor fan. Would I be able to re-fill these, and if so, how? Thanks in advance.
- When you say closed, they do appear closed but can be opened by twisting the inset part to the outer part. This does take some effort so watch out that the pellets don't go all over the place. I have done this with mine (EFC 635X hood - pNC 949610696 00) and it is not easy putting it all back together as stray pellets get in the way. I know this was a year ago but you may still have the hood and it will sve you loads if you can do this
- I have no idea how large a hygena APM2591 is but 500g is quite a lot. That's weight not volume, so I would say it was over two jam jars worth in volume.
- I needed two packs to fill the two filters of my Hotpoint hood i.e. one pack per filter.
