Universal 40W E14 SES Oven Bulb Stock Number: ES654987
Universal bulb that fits most cookers that require an E14 40W bulb
how do you install the bulbs inside a neff oven? the glass has no screw and isnt just popping off. 7 Answers
- Tried all of the tips below without success. Then went into the garage and took a pair of reinforced rubber gloves (the type that are a fabric material dipped in a rubber-type solution) and it unscrewed without hardly any effort. If you haven't got any, ask a friend or neighbour that messes around with cars or motorbikes and they'll probably have a pair you might borrow.

Hi Crilly, We've had a lot of feedback on this issue and have since introduced a light cover removal tool. This should make the job a lot easier, see it here.
- I guess this depends on the oven model. I recently replaced the bulb in our main (Neff) oven. The glass cover unscrewed though it was a little tight to shift at first. The bulb is also a screw fitting and is quite recessed in its housing. It's just possible to get enough grip on the glass to unscrew it. The whole task took a couple of minutes to complete. No tools required.
- If located at the top rear right hand side you should be able to unscrew the lamp cover by turning it anti-clockwise. To prevent damage place a towel into the oven bottom. These can be really stubborn - if no good with the oven cold, try warming it up to say 70 degrees C and allow it to cool a little and while still warm try removing again. Neff's call centre suggest vinegar to help loosen it.
Is this bulb suitable for oven B15P52.3GB, which has pyrolitic cleaning (the temperature rating for the bulb is quoted as 300 C) 3 Answers
- Hi Roger. I have exactly the same Neff pyrolitic oven as you. Today, I removed my bulb (it lasted just over 4 years from when oven new), and it said on it 300 degrees C, so I have just ordered 2 of these bulbs.
- That doesn't answer the question. My replacement bulb has just failed and I suspect that their life is dramatically shortened due to the very high temperatures used in self-cleaning ovens. The answer may be to temporarily remove the bulb before commencing a self-clean programme.

This is a 300C rated lamp.
- in our Neff oven, between 3 and 6 months. The first time the bulb went I thought it must have been a faulty bulb, but we've got through 4 bulbs in the past year. I always buy them at least two at a time now.
- They seem to last about two years thats when i last change one.

We think Stock Number: ES1541143 is likely to be more suitable.
The light bulb i have removed from my oven looks slimmer than the one in the picture. The diameter of the lamp cover is 3.5 cm / less than 1.5 in. Does anyone know the size of this light bulb please? Thanks

oven bulb has broken. The glass bulb has separated from the metal screw leaving this still in the oven bulb fitting. How do you replace it ?
-
Chris at eSpares says...
With the power disconnected using strong gloves and safety glasses try wrapping a cloth around the end of a suitable stick to push into the bulb and turn it to unscrew it from the holder.
I also need to know that if the light bulb has broken and come away form the metal how do I get out? Many thanks

removed old lamp do not remember a lamp cover
-
Chris at eSpares says...
The cover should be replaces as fat, grease and cleaning compounds may get into the connections and cause the holder to fail. The cover is not likely to be available on its own but if you order the complete lamp you may be able to just transfer the cover on to the oven.
Does this come with the bulb cover remover?
