Circular Fan Oven Element - 2500W
The function of the fan oven element is to heat the oven cavity. When the cooker knob is turned on for your electric cooker, electricity will flow to the element which then proceeds to heat up. Once the element reaches the desired temperature, the electricity flow switches on and off to maintain the temperature.
If the internal element filament burns out, this can cause the element to short circuit - and will lead it to fail. Potential signs that the element has blown can be visual signs, such as a split, bulge, or blow hole on the element.
eSpares has the replacement fan oven element, that could soon be yours, to help get your fan oven back to the required temperature - so you can continue to make your delicious meals!

Main oven has started tripping my electrics. Grill and top oven all ok. But as soon as the main oven is turned the power trips out.
- your element has shorted to earth replace element
- its the main cooker element has blown,so triping out,i had exactly the same, fitted new one now better than before
- yes it should do. when an element goes it melts together and it could cause a short circuit other causes could be loose wiring on element
- It is possible that the main element has been damaged and it is causing an electrical short. Sometime the circular rigns fuse together and that may cause the short.

Hi Huxley Without actually seeing your oven, it is impossible to tell what is causing this problem. What I would advise is talking to your local cooker specialist and they should be able to diagnose the problem for you. And that's where we come in! With thousands of oven spares, we're bound to have the part for you.
My oven has a top oven and a bottom oven. Which one is this element for? (I need one for the bottom oven!) 4 Answers
Zanussi ZHQ575x
- This element is for the BOTTOM OVEN of a Zanussi ZHQ575. To replace, gently unclip the thermostat from the top right hand corner of the back plate, unscrew the back plate and old element, pull the spade connectors from the element taking care that the wires don't spring back into the holes. Push the connectors on to the new element and reattach the element and backplate to the cooker. Clip the thermostat back in place. Should take no more than about half an hour.

- normally the top oven doesnt have a fan,the only element is for the grill.you can tell if that is working ,by turnig on and see it glowing ,therefore element would be in the bottom oven.but have you checked your thermostat! my advice is do the element first ,as these normally go first, they are very easy to fit ,and dont take much time at all. hope this helps.
- This is definitely the one! You just unscrew the plate at the back and the old element, then pull the crimped wires off (this is the hardest bit - I used pliers) then reassemble. If the lights all come on and it doesnt warm up then its definitely the element!

Make sure you have reset the clock as this stops the oven working. For more information search our advice centre.
Have removed the old element but the clips keep popping off the new element so haven't yet screwed element in. How can I make the wire clips stay attached?

Chris at eSpares says...
If the clips you refer to are the spade connectors for the wires to the element it is possible to tighten these by gently squeezing the rolled end to reduce the gap. If the connectors are in poor condition they can be replaced by cutting off the old ones and obtaining new from most car spares shops.
