You will need to check the door handle and the latch to identify what has broken.

It sounds as if the door latch has not gone incorrectly, you will need to check what has happened when the latch was replaced.
How do I realign the door everything looks okay IE the hinge but the door has dropped slightly making the latch become misaligned with the catch.

There is not much movement in the door, it may be the door hinges have bent causing the door to be misaligned. Check the door hinges and replace if required.
Replaced broken door catch but door still will not close. I imagine the broken bit of the catch is inside lock. Can't find my way in as there is no screw on the front as all the videos seem to show.

The lock has to be slid to one side then pushed in to be removed.
I strongly beleive that this is the correct fitting that i need but the broken bit is jamed in the other side and was wondering how i go about removing this as a screwdriver pushing it in will not budge it 1 Answer

Remove the lock from the front panel and you can turn the lock cam from the back to the unlock position and release the broken part while leaving the lock in the open position.

It is likely the end of the loop of this part on the door has broken in the lock and stuck in the on position. If you cannot move the switch to the open position and remove the broken part it will be necessary to replace this part and the door lock.

Depending on your model it may be necessary to lever the door open breaking the catch and or lock and replace both parts as required.

It sounds like the door lock is faulty or stuck closed because this catch is broken. If the 'loop' on this part is broken then the lock is in the closed position. Replace this part and carefully use a small screwdriver to prise the broken 'bar' from the latch plate out of the lock to leave the catch in the open position. If you cannot do this with out damaging the lock replace the lock as well.
fitted the new door latch and the door will not lock

The door lock is likely to be in the closed position holding the broken bar from the old latch. As the door opens normally the cross bar at the end of the loop on the catch is pulled out of the lock leaving the 'claw' in the open position. carefully try to open the claw using a small screwdriver. If you cannot do this you will need to replace the lock.
