Washing Machine & Dishwasher Professional Limescale & Grease Remover - Pack of 12 Stock Number: ES664212
Descaler for dishwashers and washing machines - helps prevent appliance problems and remove detergent residue
I have a shower cubicle with terrible limescale on the glass therefore it looks awful. Is there anything I can do to remove it. I have tried cilitbang and most other supermarket sold items.

One thing that might be possible is mixing a portion of this sachet with warm water, and then applying this to the shower cubicle glass. This may cut through the residue that you are talking about.
On a weekly basis I remove and clean the detergent drawer and also remove and clean the filter trap. Our Tricity Bendix 800 washing machine is 15 years old and we have just replaced the bearings on it. While we had the washing machine apart, it was a good opportunity to give it a good thorough wash and removed as much of the limescale as possible. We moved to a hard water area 5 years ago and now use a Calgon tablet in each wash. Would you still need to use a Calgon tablet if you purchase and use the Limescale and Detergent Remover?

I would say this is more a case of either/or. One sachet of this product per month will have your appliance in pristine condition - it could easily replace your Calgon tablets at a more cost effective price.
- As you can use detergent and other additives in a washer/dryer then I don’t see why not. Check the instructions that came with the machine about routine maintenance as some manufacturers recommend water treatment additives. If in doubt contact the manufacturer or recommended service centre and for advice, if possible ask to speak to their technical dept. Check for machine users or manufacturers web site.

Hi Barneyboytina, this product is definitely not tested on animals, I can assure you.
My washer has bad odour and black mould on the door seal. I can only use non biological powder as we have a septic tank. Using biological would kill the bacteria in the tank and prevent it from working properly. Also the water is very hard here. Any suggestions?

Hi 5helley,check out the photo I've attached; this is the only info on the packet with regards to chemical make up or ingredients.
The soap drawer in my Hoover Washer Dryer is removable and I can easlily keep this clean but the actual housing is a nightmare to clean and is usually jammed at the top with soap solution and fabric conditioner. When I had a machine repair man to call about something else he was less than helpful, I have used various brushes, hot wash, washing machine clearner all to no avail, short of taking the machine to peices is there anything further I can do?

I thought the heat element wasn't part of where the water goes? Or am I being a dum nut?

Hi Nancyinringwood, check out this article on how to clean your dishwasher: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/174/cleaning-your-dishwasher.html Hopefully this will help you out! With regards to the heating element - it comes in to direct contact with the water, that's how it's heated! Because of this the element can get built up with limescale and detergent over time.

Hi Surinder, check out this page for tips on solving your problem: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/tumble-dryers/a/9/117/common-tumble-dryer-faults.html?k=#norotation
Recently purchased this product via a repair man who added 3 sachets to my bosch washer and promptly left. Following the wash the drum was no longer shiny but dull and marked. Do you think this is permanently damaged - washer still works OK but smell is now returning under 2 weeks later.
- I used two packets in one go (because the ones sent were out of date and came in lumps..) The drum was still shiny and didnt smell as bad, but used another one the next day. Hasnt appeared to damage the washer
